THE RED CARPET ROLLED OUT FOR AL-QAEDA?
WASHINGTON, DC—The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) believe that by refusing to secure our porous borders and by visiting the Washington Islamic Center today, the premiere Saudi-funded mosque in the United States, President Bush sends a “y’all come” message to terrorists, seditionists and criminals. The U.S.-Mexico border is frequently violated by individuals originating from known Middle East terrorist states, and the Senate Amnesty Bill’s failure to secure our borders will only increase the ability of hostile foreign nationals to enter sovereign United States territory undetected.
“The Senate leadership is poised to pass amnesty legislation this week and the President wants to make nice and rub elbows with known terrorist-funded organizations,” says Chris Simcox, founder and President of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. “We must secure our borders now, to prevent terrorist attacks, and to send a strong message to our enemies of our resolve to defend our nation – our sovereign territory and our people.”
MCDC has been stalwart in advocating “Border Security First” in the so-called “immigration reform” debate, and demands implementation of the 2006 Secure Fence Act funds already allocated to the Department of Homeland Security’s treasury. MCDC reminds Senators that “Border Security First” is the overwhelming will of the America people, and encourages the millions of citizens who share this conviction to keep carrying the message to their elected officials. The pending Senate bill is undeniably an “AMNESTY FIRST” bill, with no true border security accountability whatever – and for the protection of the nation this bill MUST be killed.
Analysis of the Senate bill reveals that it is not a "compromise" in any meaningful sense. Indeed, the sweeping amnesty provisions of its most notorious component, the euphemistically entitled Title VI – "Non-immigrants in the United States Previously in Unlawful Status" – would create exclusively for millions of illegal aliens the new, effectually permanent "Z" visa. This title would simply change the status of those who are here illegally to legal, granting a blanket amnesty to those "previously in unlawful status;" it would cripple law enforcement by including in this massive amnesty gang members, felons, immigration absconders and all manner of fugitives; and utterly undermine the rule of law.
MCDC also rejects the Senate’s cynical and meaningless calls for massive hypothetical spending from hypothetical billions of new dollars for “virtual” border security, proffered as empty-promise “bill sweetener” inducements tied to their proposed amnesty for millions of illegal aliens. The obligation of both houses of Congress is “Border Security First.”
With 92 chapters nationwide, MCDC’s organizational efforts to halt this Amnesty Bill include meetings with Members of Congress, e-mail blasts, fax blasts, rallies, print, radio and television advertisements encouraging citizens to contact their elected officials, as well as delivering to all 50 Republican State Chairmen the message that passage of amnesty legislation will have a corrosive and deleterious effect upon Republican candidate support during the 2008 election cycle. MCDC pledges that Members of Congress will feel the wrath of their constituents on Election Day, and should be seeking to honor the concerns of their constituents, rather than currying favor with the Open Borders lobby and corporate America seeking cheap labor at the cost of national sovereignty, national security, national prosperity – and public safety.
Simcox concludes, “Amnesty is a disaster for America and we will not allow citizenship to be granted to those who advocate exploiting, colonizing and ‘reconquering’ America, but who imperil our national security, and who expressly disavow any aspirations or loyalty to ‘Americanization’ in the traditional sense of citizenship. Make no mistake – our national security and national sovereignty is at stake and the last thing we need to do is roll out the red carpet for terrorists, seditionists and criminals.”
