The board of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps praises Congressman Tom Tancredo (R-CO) for his stalwart leadership in the fight to secure our nation’s open borders, especially at a time when most Presidential candidates and many Washington lawmakers have chosen to lie, ignore, duck, bob-and-weave on these vital issues—anything but take up the hard task of leadership.
Tom Tancredo’s Presidential campaign provided a clarion voice for the majority of American citizens who want our immigration laws enforced and our borders secured with a double-layered fence rather than to provide blanket amnesty to the millions of illegal aliens living throughout the United States.
Chris Simcox adds, “We certainly want to thank Tom for all his leadership and hard work over the years. He is one of the few lawmakers who supported our organization and me every step of the way, and we will miss him next year as we continue the fight for Congress to stop reneging and actually provide the much needed funding to build a physical border that was promised to the American people in October 2006. We encourage Tom Tancredo to continue to seek higher office—the U.S. Senate certainly could use his wisdom and experience, and the nation certainly needs him in leadership more than ever.
