Report From the Texas Border
April 10, 2007

Today our line is out in dense fog and sitting the line. It is still cool and wet and muddy. We have been scouting for new posts; but have been somewhat hampered by mud.

The Rio Grande Valley is rifted with corruption. Many local government officials, to include member of the judical branch of government, have either been convicted of felonies and are either currently incarcerated or previiously incarcerated Other officials are actively involved in graft, bribes, and drug trafficing.

There is a lot of work to be done in this area and local citizens will have to step up to make the necessary corrections, either by vote or by impeachment.

The metropolitan aspect of this area makes working the line very dangerous as drug runners are to the north of us and coming from the south. This definately keeps the volunteers alert at all times.

Yesterday we had no sightings due I believe to weather conditions.
