MINUTEMAN CIVIL DEFENSE CORPS – TEXAS MULTI-CITY TRAINING TOUR AUGUST 13-19 TH

TOMBSTONE, AZ (August 11, 2005) – Chris Simcox of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) announced today that he will be conducting border watch patrol training for local Texas Minutemen in multiple cities throughout Texas beginning August 13 th. Media is invited to attend these training events.

ALL events are on private property. Please bring valid press credentials for admittance to the events as entrance will be monitored at the gates. You may call contact person below ahead of scheduled events if you wish to be added to the list of attending media in advance. We will have national LIVE television program broadcasts from three of our locations. All times CENTRAL, except El Paso which is MOUNTAIN time.

All training events on this Texas training tour are located on private property and are only for those already signed up or those who are interested in becoming a Texas Minuteman. Any others attempting to “crash” these events will be barred from entry.  Gate crashers or those attempting to gain entry to disrupt training sessions will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. NO TRESPASSERS ALLOWED.

LOCATION: Floyd Ranch (PRIVATE RANCH PROPERTY, but you CAN/CAN release this location to public – access will be monitored)

Floyd Ranch is 20 miles southeast of Midland – 16 miles SE from downtown Midland on Highway 158, turn right on County Road 1379, 4.0 miles, ranch on left side of road.

Wednesday, August 17, 2005 – Alpine, Big Bend National Park, Rio Grande, Lajitas, TX

LIVE National TV Broadcast 8:00 pm

Chris Simcox will be scouting different locations in and around these areas for border watch patrols in October and talking to local officials about problems in the area. This location scout and meetings are open to media. Minuteman volunteers and recruits are not invited on this portion of the tour.
