TOMBSTONE, AZ (September 29, 2005) – The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, or MCDC, and Chris Simcox are proud to announce the commencement of our expanded border watch efforts beginning October 1, 2005. These operations will take place along the border in all four southern border states and in several states in the north.
Contrary to recent reports in the media, the MCDC has greatly expanded in the past few months to put forth a strong national effort to assist in securing this nation’s borders from illegal entry. The risk of terrorists and criminals entering this country is at a critical level. When the government fails to fulfill its primary duty and protect this nation, it is up to self-governing people to step into the breach. Americans have historically organized and done what is necessary to defend this country. Today is no different.
Our Minuteman volunteers act as extra eyes and ears for the Border Patrol, spotting illegal activity at the border and reporting it to authorities. Most of these state affiliates will be running border watch operations 24/7 for the entire month of October. Please check with the local contact for the most current information.
