PASS THE SAVE ACT THIS WEEK

MINUTEMEN PRAISE HOUSE MEMBERS FOR ATTEMPTING TO SAVE AMERICA

PHOENIX, AZ—The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps praise the Members of the U.S. House of Representatives who are seeking to force a floor vote this week on the bipartisan SAVE Act (H.R. 4088). MCDC is a proponent of the legislation, originally sponsored by Rep. Heath Shuler (D-NC), and will muster its activists to contact their Members of Congress in order to expedite the passage of this important piece of legislation.

“Passing this legislation will serve as a first sincere step by Washington lawmakers to fix America’s weakening economy,” states Carmen Mercer, MCDC Vice President and Director of Government Relations. “It behooves Congress to reassure the American people that their government is doing everything it can to save their jobs and ensure that only legal citizens of this country can retain honest employment—especially since Congress has done little to deter the thousands of illegal migrants, gang members, terrorists and international drug cartel soldiers who traffic into this country daily through our open borders, operating a criminal underground economy that distorts fair market standards, steals American jobs and drives down living wages for American workers.”

The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps (MCDC) is a peaceful, law-abiding and citizen-led initiative organized to stand watch at our borders and in our neighborhoods, report illegal activities to the proper authorities, and aid in the construction of border fencing on private lands using private donations. Additionally, MCDC seeks to urge local and federal officials to enforce our immigration laws in order to keep our families and country safe. MCDC conducts border watch operations that assist the activities of the U.S. Border Patrol, reports employers of illegal aliens, and advocates to keeps tax dollars from being used for illegal alien benefits.
