WASHINGTON STATE BORDER OPERATION
TO ALL WASHINGTON STATE MINUTEMEN:
Our March, 2008 Border Vigil will be conducted over the weekend of Saturday, March 15th and Sunday, March 16th, 2008.

This Friday night operation is open only to experienced members who have already had initial training and stood posts on previous border operations.
Our full initial muster will take place at 09:00 A.M. Saturday morning, the 15th, at Camp Standing Bear *.
At headquarters we have space available to accomodate campers, motorhomes, trailers, etc. Also, we have bunkhouse space available for those wanting to sleep on a cot ( bring your own sleeping bag.) Saturday evening, after the day shift debriefing, we will sit down to enjoy a home-cooked meal at Camp Standing Bear.
We will have all moved our clocks and watches ahead one hour prior to this Border Watch weekend, so the days will be longer and Spring will be in the air! A beautiful time of year to be up in Whatcom County!

Moses Lake is getting started up for I-409
Moses Lake is getting started up for I-409 (Initiative 409 Respect for Law), thanks to Joe Holloway. I expect to be going there in the near future for the Power Point presentation. The Yakima team, Nick Hughes and Sherry Grant (MM) and Mary Ann Lockhart and Marge Heether (our friends from Grassroots of Yakima Valley) gathered over 70 signatures at Farmers Market in heat of over 105 degrees. This kind of dedication is to be applauded. [READ MORE...]

WA State Civil Rights Exec Commissioner Slanders
On June 15th 2007 the HeraldNet online news publication in Everett Washington published an opinion piece written by Marc Berman, the Executive Director of the Washington State Civil Rights Commission, in which he likened the "Minutemen" to Nazis and domestic terrorists. On August 2nd, 2007, the Washington State Chapter of the Minuteman CDC responded to Mr. Brenman's slanderous public commentary by sending a letter of protest to Marc Brenman and every member of the Civil Rights Commission. We also copied this letter to the office of Governor Christine Gregoire, the WA State Attorney General's Office, the HeraldNet, and both the Seattle PI and Seattle Times newspapers. A copy of the protest letter, which demands a public apology from Mr. Brenman is listed below.
