The Tucson Police Department and the Tucson Unified School District no longer will summon Border Patrol officials or immigration authorities to school grounds, officials said Tuesday.
The announcement came hours after dozens of students marched against a family's deportation that played out at two Midtown schools.
The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps received numerous phone calls to urge citizens to contact law enforcement officials, and legislators to voice (our) concerns for this latest change/agreement to ignore established laws in our communities. The student was found with marijuana, and was under the influence. Tucson Police responded, and contacted the parents. The parents were asked by TPD to produce a driver’s license, at which time, the officers discovered they were all illegal aliens. U.S. Border Patrol was called, and the family was deported. Now…the school district is caving into pressure by students that most likely know of other illegal aliens attending the school system in Tucson.
We do not want Tucson Unified School District to set the stage for other communities to follow nationwide by restricting law enforcement with doing their job. Schools are NOT sanctuaries and by making a school a sanctuary for illegal aliens, will cause the city or community to become a sanctuary. It has to stop now! The laws have to be enforced as they are written.
We don’t expect the laws to be changed for anyone that breaks the law because of their race, or country of origin, therefore, we don’t need to start now by excusing those that knowingly violate immigration laws.
Once we as a country begin to excuse those of a particular race, religion, or student status, we then begin to see the rest of our laws erode into what a criminal or terrorist wants for their own people.
Call the following numbers with a polite concern for the laws to be enforced as they were written. No special treatment for illegal aliens, as there is not special treatment for anyone in this country committing a crime.
