Dan Hayes Reports:
Monday, March 17, the Denver city election department gave him a receipt for 125 petition "books" or "sections" after counting and placing them in order. The numbers of signatures contained were approximately 7,500 according to Heidi Verougstraete of National Ballot Access whom had been paid to collect an additional 4,000 signatures over the last three weeks. She also validated every 3rd signature and confirmed a slightly higher than 2/3 validity rate for a total count of at least 5,000 valid signatures. Usually, an invalid address causes most of the problems. Since 3,996 are required, this proposal will be on the ballot for the August 5th, 2008 Denver election or about two weeks before the democratic convention. Hillary''s question of what do you do about all those illegal aliens driving to and from work will be answered, take their cars away from them- permanently!
Thanks for all your help and support.
For those of you who fought the weather in front of neighborhood King Soopers’ to get the signatures, Dan thanks you for your hard work and support. Now we have to make sure the Denver voters get out there and VOTE!
