Addresses for Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals recently upheld the convictions of former border patrol agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean. In response, a rising number of Congressmen, including Walter Jones of North Carolina and Ted Poe and John Culbertson of Texas, are calling upon the President to commute these sentences. They are outraged at the miscarriage of justice which allowed prosecutors to impugn the integrity of our law enforcement officers, make deals with a known drug smuggler, and keep the truth about his drug-smuggling activities from the jury.
Agents Ramos and Compean should never have been indicted in the first place, say these Congressmen, and they have not yet begun to fight for justice for these men. When U.S. prosecuters relentlessly side with drug smugglers and go after our own law enforcement officers, something is very wrong with U.S. border security and our justice system.
For updates on agents Ramos and Compean, visit agentramos.com.. A good way to show support for them is by sending them cards and letters. They can receive magazine and newspaper subscriptions, and paperbacks, but only if mailed directly from the publisher. They can receive pictures if printed on regular computer paper but no glossy.
Letters and cards are greatly appreciated, and help them to know that Americans have not forgotton them.
