...and welcome to the latest Maryland Minuteman Civil Defense Corps
Weekend Update. We use these Updates to keep you informed of
MMCDC activities, and to give you practical suggestions on things
you can do about the growing problem of illegal aliens in Maryland.
All information about MMCDC activities in this Update is public, so
feel free to forward it to friends and family as concerned as you are
about illegal immigration.
MINUTEMEN MORE NEEDED THAN EVER
As the recent election results are analyzed more carefully, it
appears that neither side of the illegal alien controversy gained a
decisive upper hand. The good news is that a massive amnesty for
illegal aliens appears highly unlikely. The bad news is that the
status quo -- unsecure borders controlled by drug lords and human
smugglers, and a cynical US government that turns a blind eye to
those who profit from exploiting illegal aliens -- will remain in
In such an intolerable environment, civilian volunteers like the
Minuteman Civil Defense Corps -- who keep attention on the problem
and shame do-nothing bureaucrats into action -- are more crucial than
ever. The Minutemen are already the largest and most powerful grass-
roots movement since the Civil Rights movement of the 60's. The next
two years will be critical. Get involved! It's your country and
your children's future.
THE LABOR SHORTAGE MYTH
Many people claim we "need" illegal aliens because there aren't
enough American workers to keep the economy running. This is false!
What these people really mean is that there is a shortage of American
workers willing to work for below-market wages and without decent
benefits or job security. To read more about this, check out T.D.
