Montgomery Co. Town Hall Meeting Jan 24th
Ike Leggett is having another Town Hall Meeting, and it is CRITICAL that Montgomery County residents concerned about illegal immigration are there in force!
Wednesday, January 24 @ 7:30pm
Northwood High School
919 University Blvd.
Silver Spring MD
MMCDC volunteers have been at every one of Leggett's Town Hall meetings so far, and have been successfully using these forums to show the community that grassroots opposition to illegal aliens is a growing force in Maryland. These Town Hall meetings are very well attended, and while it's unlikely you'll change Leggett's mind, it's a valuable opportunity to get our message out to hundreds of politically active neighbors in the audience.
We need as many people to come out on the 24th as possible, to maximize our mike time and to applaud loudly every time one of our group speaks.
Bring a friend. Get there at least 30 minutes early (hour is even better). Bring a newspaper or magazine to read. Sit on the aisle or near the mike. Be assertive. If they are passing a hand held mike, make eye contact with the mike person and smile. If the mikes are on floor stands, sit where you can leap to the front of the line. Keep your question short and polite, and use facts (like the Pew Hispanic Center's estimate of 250,000 illegals in Maryland, or FAIR's estimate they cost Maryland taxpayers $331 million each year.
