Maryland Weekend Update - 1/26/06

...to the latest Maryland Minuteman Civil Defense Corps Weekend Update. We use these Updates to keep you informed of MMCDC activities, and to give you practical suggestions on things you can do about the growing problem of illegal aliens in Maryland.

All information about MMCDC activities in this Update is public, so feel free to forward it to friends and family as concerned as you are about illegal immigration.

Many thanks to all the men and women who took the time to attend Ike Leggett's Town Hall Meeting this week. Four people were able to express their opposition to building a third illegal alien center with tax payer's money. Add to this the two CASA de Maryland shills who spoke in favor of the center, and that was 6 questions about illegal immigration. This made illegal immigration the Number One issue on the nights agenda, even surpassing the ICC in number of comments!

(Can you say, "Momentum" boys and girls?!)

Ike got more than a little testy with all the negative questions. Clearly, he didn't expect his "solution" to the Gaithersburg problem to be so unpopular.

Interestingly, he also got a little testy with the "immigrant" who told him Montgomery County needed to build even MORE day laborer centers! Guess nobody told Ike that "Hispandering" is a sucker's game. Groups like CASA de Maryland will NEVER be satisfied. The more illegals there are, the more funding CASA gets. CASA needs an
never-ending, always growing number of illegal aliens to keep its revenues expanding.

Wise up, Ike! Whatever you do is never enough!

There will be a public hearing about the proposed day labor center at:

Montgomery County Planning Board
8787 Georgia Avenue
Silver Spring MD 20910
Meeting is scheduled to begin at 4:30pm.

If you can't be there in person, send a letter to Mr. Royce Hanson, Chairman. Reference Project MR-07302-DPWT-1-Temporary Day Labor Site.

This week ICE "accidently" apprehended 24 criminal illegal aliens in Baltimore. (It seems that while they were taking a break in a 7-11 parking lot, the illegals asked them for a job!)

(FACT: Few illegal aliens are rocket scientists.)

The important lesson is that as soon as word got out that "la migra" was busting people in Baltimore, observers noted a noticable drop in the number of day laborers hanging out in Gaithersburg! This just proves how easy it would be to get illegals to go back home if we
just enforced the laws we already have.

The President's State of the Union address indicates that Bush is once again going to try to bring the 20+ million illegal aliens infesting our country "out of the shadows." He didn't say how he'd keep another 20 million from rushing across the border to take their place, or how the CIS would process all those people when it already loses or mishandles 100,000's of application each year. He also didn't say what would happen to our taxes when those 20 million people were suddenly eligible for all sorts of social services
heretofore denied to them.

It's gonna get ugly. You've GOT to keep in the fight!

Monitor NumbersUSA's and FAIR's websites regularly, and listen to the TEAM America hotline: 703-255-0307. Act when called upon. If we lose this battle, how will you live with yourself if you didn't give 100 percent?

Write George W. Bush, The White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington DC 20500 and tell him "Just say No" to amnesty for illegal aliens!

This week, we have a website for you Catholics to check out:

This project of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops is designed to win Catholic support for an amnesty. Expect to hear a lot of preaching about "justice" for illegal aliens in church this year!

Religion is a very personal matter. But those of us who are Catholic might want to consider putting a note into the collection plate instead of an offering. Tell your parish that you disagree with amnesty for illegals, and ask why the Bishops don't care about the 25
million unemployed Americans. Say from now on you will be making your donations directly to a homeless shelter, disabled veterans hospital, soup kitchen or other charity.

(PS: Keep in mind that the US Conference of Catholic Bishops is a political body and has no religous authority to set Church teaching. And they can't rap your knuckles with a ruler, either!)

We need more individuals to help with research for an upcoming Spring operation. The research can all be done from home, using a phone and/or the Internet. If you are interested, contact mmcdc@comcast.net or call 301-741-4081 and volunteer for "Operation TORO"
