Through These Doors Step the Finest

Through these Doors Step the Finest Volunteers in the World
October 15, 2007
The title above is borrowed from the military and can be seen in ready roomsand chow halls across the globe. The sentiment also fits those intrepid citizens who sacrifice their time and money to attend a border watch. While some rationalize that they are not really needed orthat because they attended onetheyhavealready done their duty, the truly dedicatedjust go. They will accept no excuses from themselves, the true sign of a patriot.
One recent Texas operation attendee, namedNickie, completed her planned stay and when saying goodbye to her new-found friends and fellow patriots, broke into tears at having to leave. As the Texas sector chief told me this story, I visualized the scene andit brought
tears to MY eyes.
A Hill Country Chapter volunteer and her husband arrived for a week and could not leave when they saw the good work being done. Betty and her husband, Jim, are staying for the rest of the month. They just could not leave with so few Texas volunteers to man the lines. This fine volunteer is doing administration, comm when necessary, and also posts on the line. When I asked her if she needed any help, she told me, "No, I am doing this for my country".She just feels that strongly about it.
The Texas operation is awaiting the impending arrival of an Austin Chapter couple, Art and Rachel. They had to postpone their planned trip to the border in order to drive to Kentucky to be with their son who has been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Now that the son is bolstered by the visit of his loving parents,Art and Rachelare keeping their promise to themselves, to go and do what they can to fight against those who would surrender our country in the face of an invasion.
Reports have just come in from the Valley that the McAllen Chamber of Commerce is selling wristbands with this inscription: NO BORDER WALL . MCDCvolunteers, from Texas and ten other states are "holding the line" until you arrive.
Won't you do what you can to come to the aid of your fellow patriots manning the line? They need you and your country needs you.
