Operation Secure America - Washington State

TO ALL WASHINGTON STATE MINUTEMEN:

OPERATION SECURE AMERICA
OCTOBER 1 THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2007
Our 5th month long border watch operation will be conducted next month along the Canadian border between Blaine, WA. & Sumas, WA.
Our initial muster will be held at Camp Standing Bear* at 09:00 A.M. on the morning of October 1st.
Illegal entry attempts along the British Columbia border have markedly increased recently and the Border Patrol has been short handed on several occassions over the last few weeks.
Peace Arch Park remains very active, and B.P.Agents tell us that a number offoreign nationals from nations to our south have been flying into Vancouver, B.C. and crossing into the U.S. illegaly.
We each need to play a part in this operation in order for it to be a sucess! Please find a weekend, a week, a couple of days or at least a day when you can come to the border and stand a post.
If not you, who? If not now, when?
As always, there is plenty of room for motorhomes, campers, trailers, tents, etc. atCamp Standing Bear. There are also a number of inexpensive motels nearby in Blaine or Ferndale.
Several of our members that we usually count on all month will be going down to the Arizona border this October, so we need more volunteers than usual to maintain our positions.
Please make that extra effort and come stand with us on our nation's border for a day, a week or more. This is where the rubber meets the road!!
Training for new volunteers will be held immediatly after our initial muster and on mornings when new volunteers arrive.
* Camp Standing Bear; Take exit # 266 off I-5N. Go left (west) off the exit ramp on Grandview Rd. for approx. 2 1/2 miles to Valley View Rd. on the right. Go right onto Valley View for about 1/4 mile to 7030 Valley View Rd., Ferndale, WA.(look for the flags ) Call (360) 366-4047
